La Ciociara from 1969 Restaurant – Pizzeria celebrated 50 years of activity in 2019. Its history, however, is even more ancient: at number 31 of via Valerio Publicola there was a wine and oil tavern already in 1962, the year in which Sophia Loren won the first Oscar prize awarded to an actress for a film, "La Ciociara" by Vittorio De Sica, not in English. Certainly, that original tavern has outlined over time the characteristics that customers still appreciate of the restaurant.

Simplicity
Although Roman cuisine has changed over time and over time has been enriched with tasty combinations or stylistic and aesthetic research, what most of us are looking for and find in this restaurant is the “true taste" of Roman cuisine.

Genuineness
But what is meant by "true taste"? Or better: what do we mean by "true taste"? In our opinion it is everything that brings us back to the past, to our past, to the flavor, warmth and color of a kitchen of our childhood: it is not only taste but, above all, emotion.
A unique experience
